█▓▒▒░░░Through the use of community mobilization techniques, the Society for Community Strengthening and Promotion of Education, Balochistan (SCSPEB) works to create partnerships between the government and the community in order to further human development. Society understands that encouraging education overall, and girls’ education in particular, calls for the cooperation of all parties involved: parents, the community, schools, the education department, and local government. Access to and the caliber of education can only be guaranteed by these stakeholders’ active involvement and sense of shared responsibility. The Society has employed this goal and vision in its operations over the years. The UN Systems in Pakistan presented SCSPEB with the prestigious UN Award in 2001 in recognition of its outstanding work advancing female education in rural, isolated Balochistani communities and creating the Community Support Process (CSP) model. The only group in Pakistan to receive this wonderful honor is Society.
