In order to advance Reko Diq’s development into a world-class, long-life mine that would significantly increase Barrick’s strategically significant copper portfolio and benefit its Pakistani stakeholders for future generations, the project’s reconstitution was finished in December 2022.
The project’s feasibility and expansion studies from 2010 and 2011 are now being updated by Barrick. The goal is to finish this by 2024, with first production anticipated in 2028.
