Note & Applying Process
Observance of General Instructions:
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) determines the eligibility of candidates based on its policy, as outlined in the General Instructions available on the FPSC website. Therefore, candidates must thoroughly review these instructions before applying to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.
Procedure to apply:
- To apply, candidates must submit their applications online through the official FPSC portal, www.fpsc.gov.
- Candidates may edit on-line applications only once within the closing date in order to rectify any error / omission etc.
Provide accurate information in the online application form, as FPSC treats this information as final. Double-check all details before submission.
Include all relevant experience in the online form, as FPSC considers any missing details an afterthought and an attempt to alter eligibility status. As a result, it will not accept such claims under any circumstances.
Hardcopy of online application is not required from the applicants.
Only online applications will be processed and admitted on or before the cut-off date as announced for respective case.

- The rate of fee for various posts is:- BS-16 to 17 Rs. 300/-; BS 18= Rs. 750/-; BS-19 = Rs. 1200/-; BS-20 and above Rs. 1500/-

- Make sure to deposit the fee before the deadline. You can pay at the nearest government treasury, a National Bank of Pakistan branch, or any authorized State treasury that handles government transactions under the account “C02101-ORGANS OF STATE EXAMINATION FEE REALIZED BY FPSC.” Keep in mind, bank drafts, cheques, or postal orders are not accepted.
- Hold on to the original Treasury Receipt (T.R) after payment, as you’ll need to present it to the supervisory staff at the test or examination center mentioned in your Admission Certificate. Photocopies or bank scrolls won’t be accepted.
- Do not send the T.R to FPSC in advance. Just bring it along to the test or provide it when requested.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
The maximum age limit set in the Recruitment Rules can be relaxed according to the Initial Appointment to Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1993, as amended over time. You can find the complete details in Para-6 of the General Instructions on the FPSC website.

Documents required from the candidates:
- After the test or exam, FPSC will notify candidates who rank higher within their respective quotas to submit attested copies of required documents. These documents include two photographs, Matric and Intermediate certificates, Bachelor’s, Master’s, M.Phil, and Ph.D. degrees, CNIC, experience certificates (if applicable) detailing job nature and issued by an authorized officer of the relevant Ministry, Division, or Department, domicile certificate, departmental permission certificate (for government employees), and the original Treasury Receipt (for non-test cases). Candidates must submit these documents within 15 days of receiving the notice via post, SMS, or email.
- If a candidate claims degree equivalence, they must provide an equivalence certificate issued by HEC or the relevant authority to validate their claim.
- FPSC accepts experience certificates from well-known national or international firms, companies, institutions, banks, NGOs, etc., only if they are properly registered or incorporated with the concerned government body, maintain official offices, and have a valid registration or reference number where applicable.
- Candidates who fail to submit the required documents on time or provide incorrect or incomplete information risk disqualification. Therefore, candidates should prepare their documents in advance to ensure timely submission.
- Keep in mind, being asked to submit documents does not mean the candidate is shortlisted for the interview. FPSC will determine eligibility based on submitted documents and merit position. Candidates’ eligibility will be assessed fully up to the closing date.
Admission Certificate:
FPSC will upload the Admission Certificates for the Screening or Descriptive Tests for each post on their official website, www.fpsc.gov.pk, a few weeks before the exam date. Candidates should regularly check the website for the latest updates. FPSC will also send notifications via SMS. However, they will not send any information by post regarding the Admission Certificates.
Change of Centre:
If candidates want to change their examination center, they must submit an online request at least one month before the exam date. This is the only way to avail this facility.
